We arrived in Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula, southeast of Melbourne on Sunday, Jan. 24th. We had just enough time to have a quick practice swim the next day before we were entered in the Mount Martha swim on Australia Day on January 26th. Cameron entered the 200 metre, Lauren the 400 metre and Gord entered the 1.2 km swim. It was challenging for all three of us as it was our first ocean swim but we did a great job. As you can see in the photos, Lauren was introduced to everyone as an international visitor from Canada and she received a very warm Aussie welcome! A great way to celebrate Australia Day! Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi!!!
