We had an amazing day out on the Great Barrier Reef. We took a 2 hour boat ride on the Ocean Spirit to get to the reef. The Great Barrier Reef is a maze of 3 000 individual reefs and 900 islands that stretches 2 600 km and is home to thousands of species of sea life, as well as turtles and birds. We spent the day snorkeling and got to take a ride in a glass bottom boat. It was absolutely amazing! Lauren and Cameron couldn't believe the fish and coral that they got to see. I hired an underwater camera for the day and took some of these photos. The guy who I hired the camera from had some better photos that he took so he gave me a copy of his and I have included some of his photos on this entry as well. A spectacular day!
